AGESofJax - Online Project Management - e-Projects

AGES is a Environmental & Geotechnical Testing Services company located in Jacksonville Florida. They provide Environmental Testing, Geotechincal Testing and Construction Materials Testing to governmental agencies, builders and construction companies as well as other who require environmental phase I, II & III testing.

Their Request: The testing services provided by AGES is very detailed and often results in very large reports. AGES needed a way to allow their customer to request or schedule services online, keep their client informed as to the progress of any project, and then make the project available online for download to the various governmental departments and customer that would need copies of the final reports upon completion. And, archive the reports for future download by anyone who may need a replacement copy.

Our Solution: We constructed a php/mySQL based online platform that AGES staff members could fully manage. Via the admin (GUI) console, AGES could create customers and individual users. The platform would notify the user via e-mail of their new account and invite them to log in with a temporary password and set their preferences including creating a new password. Once any user completed their account setup, they would be able to monitor project status and download completed reports and studies.

The Result: e-Projects immediately began to save AGES the significant expense of printing and delivering large reports and studies to its customers via courier, and paid for itself within a few months. Customer would be notified and have immediate access to completed projects. The introduction of e-projects dramatically improved AGES' ability to serve its customers faster than its competitors, reduced the cost in doing so and lead to a more productive staff internally.
